Where culture blends with Life…
Diwali 2019
One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance."
Diwali (“Deepabali”) means festival of light. According to Vishnupurana, the dwarf incarnation of Vishnu sends the Asura sacrifice to the abyss; On the day of Deepavali, the devil was allowed to come to the earth and to burn incomparable lamps to dispel darkness and ignorance, to ignite the flame of love and wisdom. According to Ramayana, on the day of Diwali, in the Treta period, Sri Ram killed Ravana and returned to Ayodhya at the end of the fourteenth year of exile. On the return of Shri Ram fourteen years later, lamps were lit all over the state and celebrated Diwali.
